BIANCHI SPECIALISSIMA X3 1985
Original “X3” Bianchi Specialissima with its original metallic red
paint.
Frame No. B.58.
Fully pantographed group set as per the high end top of the line
racing X3 models produced in the early to mid 80’s.
The X3 was the first Bianchi model to utilise the aero formed fork
and seat stays produced by Columbus in the SLX series.
This bike is unrestored and original other than the fork being re-
chromed at some stage in the past.
Chrome on rest of frame shows significant wear and deterioration.
It has a Campagnolo Super Record groupset including Record
hubs laced to Mavic GP4 rims.
Bike was purchased complete from Italy in 2015.
In 2016 the frame-set was used in one Australian “Eroica” type
event using an alternate group set and wheel set.
It was then returned to its original specs and has not been ridden
since.
