This high-precision Swiss-engineered rear hub uses a 15mm axle to maximize rear wheel stiffness. The 240s is the signature DT Swiss hub and is the gold standard for lightweight high-quality hubs. The 240s is a sealed cartridge bearing hub, performing well in wet conditions. The contact free flange seals enclose the highest quality Japanese corrosion resistant stainless steel bearings, which improves rolling efficiency and durability.
DT Swiss utilized its patented star ratchet system that is well known to guarantee high load capacity and reliability. The star ratchet system can be easily upgraded from 18 points of engagement to 36 or 54 points of engagement.
To upgrade to 36Teeth of engagement, add Upgrade Kit- spring,grease,36T SLratchet
To upgrade to 54T engagement, add Upgrade Kit- spring,grease,54T SLratchet
This fits by default SRAM XD cassettes, but can be easily converted, as per below.
- 11 Speed road Cassette (free of charge)
- Shimano MTB Cassette body (free of charge)
This hub can also be converted to 1 other axle standard, 5x141 Quick Release, (free of charge) .
To Convert to Any of these standards (Hub axle, And/Or freehub body), add the hub to the cart, AND add the below part to the cart, and put in notes on checkout what standard you want it conveted to.
This hub cannot be converted to Non- Boost (12x142, 5x135 QR, etc). No DT Swiss hub can be converted to or from Boost using Genuine parts , and no aftermarket adaptor has been found safe for use when tested.
