Top-of-the-range aluminum wheelset for road bikes: lightweight with unbeatable braking performance thanks to OXiC ceramic coating.

The PR 1400 DICUT OXiC, available in 21 mm rim height, represents the pinnacle of achievement among DT Swiss’s aluminum road wheels! The OXiC ceramic coating on the wheels provides braking performance that has never been seen on rim brakes before. The sturdy, lightweight, asymmetrical rim has an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio and its stability makes a decisive contribution to the wheelset’s durability and reliability. In a tubeless setup, this wheel demonstrates its athletic character with even greater comfort and grip. The wheel is extremely competitive, practical and in absolute harmony with the minimalist design.

OXIC TECHNOLOGY

OXiC is a process in which a ceramic coating is electrochemically applied to the rim surface, making it extremely hard and wear resistant. The OXiC process achieves a high end looking, matte black finish which also guarantees the highest level of brake performance while reducing wear on the rim to the absolute minimum.

TUBELESS TECHNOLOGY

All DT Swiss wheelsets are tubeless compatible and the ASM versions come tubeless ready, equipped with tubeless tape and valves.

FREEHUB BODY CONVERSION

The no-tool concept allows the conversion to a different drivetrain standard within seconds.

TECHNOLOGY

Pro Lock® is a process where a patented, dual compound, adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel builds. By threading the nipple onto the spoke the adhesive is activated and starts to harden. Re-truing the wheel is still possible after the adhesive has hardened completely, with only a minimal decrease of its thread-lock function.

BEARING
TECHNOLOGY

DT Swiss hubs are designed to function optimally once installed in a bicycle. To achieve this, the clamping force created by the wheel mounting system must be taken into account when constructing a hub. Learn how to ensure the optimal rotating property of the ball bearings and discover why DT Swiss does not offer hubs with adjustable bearing clearance.
